Presentation Title: On-board and cloud based hybrid control of Level 4 autonomous vehicles

Presentation Abstract: The paper will introduce the first experiences with a two autonomous vehicle fleet of Level 4. The control of the vehicle dynamics is realized by means of using both the on-board sensors and actuators and at the same time information from a specific traffic cloud. Besides the trajectory following the control objectives are twofold: on one hand the vehicle stability is maintained, on the other hand the vehicle energy consumption is optimized. The vehicles are tested in artificial city environment at one of the most modern testing facility at ZalaZone, and also in real city traffic conditions. The control algorithm and also the test data will be demonstrated in the paper.
