General structure of an academic year:

Study period  1st week  registration* 1 week
  2nd – 7th week  teaching block 1 6 weeks
  8th week  1st drawing week   1 week
  9th – 14th week  teaching block 2 6 weeks
  15th week  2nd drawing week  1 week
Exam period  directly after the study period  exams  7 weeks

 *Registration is in the first week of September in the fall semester usually, and in the first week of February in the spring semester.
