Faculty Research Fund

The Faculty of Engineering provides an annual budget (the amount of which is determined each year) to cover the costs associated with doctoral studies and academic qualification procedures, as well as to support the publication of high-quality research papers and participation in scientific events of strategic importance to the Faculty.

As a general rule:

  • Journal articles may be supported if they are published in journals ranked Q2 or higher. In the case of articles published in Open Access journals, an additional 50% of funding may be provided from this Faculty fund, supplementing the 50% funding provided by the University.

  • Participation in conferences may be supported if a publication related to the conference presentation is published in a Scopus- or Web of Science (WoS)-indexed publication.

In other cases, funding may be awarded on the basis of an individual assessment.
