The delegation included Prof. Wang Hongzhi, Vice President for International Affairs; Prof. Wang Xianghu, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Natural Sciences; Prof. Su Qinggang, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Aeronautical Engineering; and Ms. Zhu Xubing, Director of the Student Affairs Office of the School of International Education. Their visit aimed to explore potential areas of cooperation and joint training programs between the two institutions.
The delegates engaged in discussions with Prof. Dr. Géza Husi, Dean; Prof. Dr. Imre Kocsis, Vice Dean; Dr. Zsolt Tiba, International Affairs Delegate; and Dr. József Menyhárt, Dr. Tamás Mankovits, and Dr. Sándor Hajdú, department heads. The meetings focused on undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, faculty and student exchanges, and joint research initiatives.
Key Topics
Highlighted topics included establishing a 2+2 program, where students would spend two years at the Faculty of Engineering, two years in China, and organizing a joint international professional exhibition to strengthen cooperation between the two universities. The delegation toured the Faculty's labs and the new Vehicle Research Center during the visit.
Foundations of the Partnership
The basis for the partnership was laid in October of last year when a memorandum of understanding on Faculty and student mobility, joint R&D projects, and training programs was signed by Vice President Yang Wanfeng and Dr. Károly Pető, Vice Rector General. In May, Prof. Dr. Mike Danilovic delivered a lecture at the Faculty of Engineering to present the opportunities offered by SDJU.
