Award for outstanding scientific work at our university:
The Schaeffler FAG Foundation in Germany promotes international knowledge transfer and invites entries for the Innovation Award every year.
Applications are open to all students at our university who are studying a technical subject related to bearing technology and have written an excellent promotional thesis, master or bachelor thesis with forward-looking ideas for bearing technology in mechanical engineering or in the automotive and aviation industries.
The Schaeffler FAG Foundation accepts applications for the Innovation Award 2020 until July 31. Further information is available at: https://www.schaeffler.com/InnoAward

INDUSTRY DAYS IN DEBRECEN 2019: THURSDAY 7 NOVEMBER – FRIDAY 8 NOVEMBER 2019 (FACULTY OF ENGINEERING, 4028 Debrecen Ótemető u. 2-4.)
The purpose of the annual event, called “Industry Days in Debrecen” is – on the one hand - to show the possibilities of economic and industrial development of the City of Debrecen to partners and companies and – on the other hand – to give partners and companies the opportunity to present themselves to the Faculty and the City of Debrecen.

VII. Mechanical Engineering Exhibition (Thursday 7- Friday 8 November 2019)
This exhibition covers the full spectrum of Mechanical Engineering: from design to manufacturing, thanks to nearly 30 exihibitors.
Apart from presenting their products and activities, exhibiting companies share traineeship/internship programs, job offers in order to provide engineering students with the excellent opportunity of establishing cooperation and to attract the attention of secondary school pupils.
Target audience: engineering students, secondary school pupils, vocational school pupils, experts from industry and higher education.

UNILEVER ENGINEERS LEAGUE – NYÍRBÁTOR – THE FINAL
The final event of UNILEVER ENGINEERS LEAGUE (Nyírbátor, Hungary) with 15 teams from 3 universities took place on Thursday 25 April 2019. Participants were supposed to cope with a case study (related to solving a task on an assembly line). 10-minute presentations (in English) on the designed 3D models and animations had to be presented to the jury.
Prizes and teams:
1. place: Cyber Mechatro (University of Debrecen, Faculty of Engineering, Hungarian team, Mechatronical Engineering MSc students)
2. place: BRA Eng (University of Debrecen, Faculty of Engineering, Brazilian team, Mechanical Engineering MSc students)
3. place: NYE-Mérnökök (University of Nyíregyháza, Hungarian team)
Congratulations to the award-winning teams. The winners received precious APPLE products, all participants were presented with UNILEVER promotion packs.
