Semester Start for Freshmen

Registering subjects

You can check which subjects you have to complete in this semester two ways:

1. You can list the offered subjects in your neptun under “Subjects”, then “Register for subjects”. When registering, term 2020/21/2 should be selected. (More detailed description here.)

2. You can check your curriculum (here) and check which subjects are listed in the spring semester (for first year students 9th semester, for second year students 11th semester).

One optional subject is suggested for this semester. About the optional Subjects you can read here:

Hungarian language course (compulsory only for Stipendium Hungaricum holders!)

From the 2020/2021 academic year onwards, new Stipendium Hungaricum holder students - both undergraduate and graduate - are required to complete 2 semesters of Hungarian as a foreign language. If they fail to do so, they will lose the scholarship and have to finance their studies on their own. Language classes will be free of charge and provided by the Coordinating Centre for International Education.
The courses consist of 40 classes (2x2 classes/week). They will start on 21 September, 2020 and last for 10 weeks. You can find a detaild guide here:

Pre-master courses

You can register already for the pre-master courses. Although these subjects are not part of your Engineering Management MSc training program, to find them easier we put them to the list of subjects in this programme. In the neptun system you see them as "optional".

1.    Basics of Accounting and Controlling, MFBAC71M08-EN, Ms Tünde Jenei
2.    Basics of Economics, MFBEF71M08-EN, Ms Judit T. Kiss

3.    Basics of Management, MFBOM71M08-EN, Ms Andrea Matko

These courses won't be scheduled like regular, 14 weeks long courses, as they are more a summary of the basics necessary for the field related subjects. About date and venue we will inform you later.
