Within 30 days of the successful final exam the diploma is ready to be given out by the Faculty. You can receive your degree certificate following ways:
- in person at the Faculty of Engineering at an announced time your administrator informs you about,
- a friend/relative/etc. with an authorization form (form is available here).
The diploma is an official document decorated with the coat of arms of Hungary which verifies the successful completion of studies in the Engineering Management master’s program. The diploma contains the following data: name of HEI (higher education institution); institutional identification number; serial number of diploma; name of diploma holder; date and place of his/her birth; level of qualification; training program; specialization; mode of attendance; place, day, month and year issued. Furthermore, it has to contain the rector’s (or vice-rector’s) original signature and the seal of HEI. The University keeps a record of the diplomas issued.
Diploma grade is calculated as follows:
Diploma grade = [(OE1+OE2)/2+D]/2
OE1 and OE2: Oral exam 1 and oral exam 2 in the final exam
D: Grade awarded for thesis on the final exam (the Committee takes into account the previous grade-suggestion of the supervisor and the Department)
Classification of the award:
Outstanding (5): 4,81-5,00; Excellent (5): 4,51-4,80; Good (4): 3,51-4,50; Satisfactory (3): 2,51-3,50; Pass (2): 2,00-2,50
A degree/diploma "with honours" (5) shall be issued to the student who receives an excellent grade in all the subjects of the final examination, excellent grade for the thesis and who does not have a grade lower than good among all of his/her other examination and seminar grades.

As a graduating student, you will soon receive your degree certificate as well as your diploma supplement, and due to some recurring cases of these document being damaged by careless actions in the past, we would like to draw your attention to the importance of keeping these documents intact.
Please make sure that the documents mentioned above remain in their original state once you receive them, don’t try to take apart the binding or laminate the pages, because they will immediately lose their validity upon any modification.
Requesting and issuing a new copy of these documents is a very complicated and expensive process, so please take these advices seriously.
